# IntoSQL for macOS, Windows and Linux

The same converter as this site, with files of any size and a direct load into your database.

- Workbooks and CSV files are read from your disk where they are, with no browser memory limit.
- Load into PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB or SQLite, including a database you reach over a VPN.
- Save a file's settings and where it goes, then run it again when the file changes.
- Files are converted on your computer, and database passwords stay in its keychain.

Converting files and loading into SQLite are free. Loading into a database server and saved jobs are part of Pro, with a 14-day free trial.

## Questions about the desktop app

### Is the desktop app free?

Converting files and loading into SQLite are free. Loading into PostgreSQL, MySQL or MariaDB and saved jobs are part of IntoSQL Pro, with a 14-day free trial on each computer.

### How do I turn on Pro in the app?

Copy your license from your IntoSQL account and paste it under License in the app. It renews itself while your plan is paid.

### Where are my database passwords kept?

In your system's keychain: Keychain on macOS, Credential Manager on Windows and the Secret Service on Linux. The other connection details are saved in the app's settings folder.

### How does it update?

While it's open, it looks for a new version, downloads it in the background and offers to restart into it. Updates are signed, and the app checks the signature before installing one.

### Why does Windows warn about the installer?

SmartScreen warns about new installers until enough people have run them. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
