# IntoSQL for developers

The engine behind the converter, wherever your code runs: a REST API with webhooks, SDKs for TypeScript, PHP, Python, Java, Go, .NET and Ruby, a command line for scripts and CI, and an MCP server for AI assistants. Each returns the same report of what changed.

- [OpenAPI document](https://intosql.com/api/v1/openapi.json)

## REST API

Open a conversion, send the file or its URL, start it and download the SQL. Idempotency keys make retries safe, and a webhook tells you when it's done. Part of Pro. [API reference](https://intosql.com/docs/api)

## SDKs

TypeScript, PHP, Python, Java, Go, .NET and Ruby. One call uploads, converts and waits; errors carry a code that never changes, and a retry never starts a second conversion. [SDK guides](https://intosql.com/docs/sdks)

## Command line

Convert and load files in a script or a CI job. Exit codes and a JSON report let a build fail on a bad file. Converting and loading SQLite are free. [Command line guide](https://intosql.com/docs/cli)

## MCP server

Ask Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to convert a file. The hosted server takes files at public URLs; intosql mcp converts files on your computer. [MCP guide](https://intosql.com/docs/mcp)

## For scripts, CI and agents

- **OpenAPI 3.1:** Every endpoint, field and error in one document, for API clients and code generators.
- **Signed webhooks:** A signed call when a conversion is done or failed, retried for about nine hours if your server is down.
- **Safe retries:** The same Idempotency-Key gets the first answer back instead of a second conversion.
- **Docs for agents:** Every documentation page as Markdown, and llms.txt, so an agent can read them directly.
